The very first Stockholm Rocks festival was held at the amusement park Gröna Lund Tyrol in Stockholm on May 3rd, 2014. It delivered a high-octane lineup, bringing together elite talent from five different nations and became the ultimate hub for international melodic rock.
Here represented by the artists:
- Norway: Hard rock legends TNT brought their classic anthems to the Stockholm stage.
- Sweden: Local heroes H.E.A.T. delivered their signature high-energy melodic punch.
- Sweden: The all-female metal force Imber showed the crowd the future of Swedish rock.
- Finland: Merry metallers Reckless Love brought their massive arena-sized hooks across the Baltic.
- USA & Greece: Guitar virtuoso Marty Friedman capped it off with a masterclass in technical brilliance. Alongside the former “Ozzy” guitarist Gus G, who showed the audience his shredding skills.
Stockholm Rocks pt. 2
The second Stockholm Rocks festival was also held at the amusement park Gröna Lund Tyrol in Stockholm on November 7th, 2014. It delivered a high-octane elite talent from five different nations.
Here represented by the artists:
- Denmark: Heavy metal icons Pretty Maids showed exactly why they’ve been at the top for decades.
- Netherlands: Legend Adrian Vandenberg (ex. Whitesnake) led his Moonkings through a soulful, hard-rocking set.
- Sweden: Local heroes Eclipse delivered their signature melodic punch.
- Greece & USA: The melodic powerhouse Outloud made their Swedish debut, fronted by the Greek-American duo
of Bob Katsionis and Chandler Mogel. - Finland: AOR masters Brother Firetribe brought their massive arena-sized hooks across the Baltic.
Stockholm Rocks pt. 3
With the third Stockholm Rocks festival it moved to Debaser Medis in Stockholm on October 24th, 2015.
Again filled with a high-octane lineup represented by the artists:
- Sweden: Corroded delivered a powerful blend of heavy riffs, melodic hooks, and gritty vocals, driven by a raw, high-energy stage presence that engaging the crowd with a tight, hard-hitting live show.
- Sparzanza performed a heavy, groove-driven blend of hard rock combining dark melodies with powerful riffs and an intense, metal sound.
- The melodic rockers The The Murder By My Sweet opened this evening filled with their quality melodic athems.
- Germany: Xandria played symphonic metal characterized by grand orchestral arrangements, powerful female vocals, and a dramatic, cinematic sound.
Stockholm Rocks pt. 4
The fourth edition of Stockholm Rocks festival was held at Debaser Medis in Stockholm on May 7th, 2016. This year featured an incredible lineup, peaking with a very special world debut.
The lineup was represented by the following artists:
- Grand Magus put on a masterclass in heavy metal, dominating the stage with thunderous, bluesdrenched riffs and an epic Norse atmosphere. Their set was a showcase of pure power that had the entire crowd chanting along.
- Avatarium enchanted the audience with a spellbinding performance, blending heavy doom with dark, 70s-infused rock. Led by Jennie-Ann Smith’s soulful vocals, the band commanded the stage with a dramatic and massive sound.
- Inglorious unleashed a high-octane set of classic-inspired hard rock, fueled by Nathan James’ incredible vocal range. Their show blended big choruses with a soulful energy that resonated through the venue.
- Allegiance of Rock – The night reached its climax with this world debut all-star alliance featuring Gus G, John Levén, Anders Johansson, and Mats Levén. They closed the festival in a spectacular firework of classic hard rock hits, delivering a powerhouse set with screaming guitars and thundering rhythms.
Stockholm Rocks pt. 5 & 6 "Summerfest"
The fifth and sixth edition of Stockholm Rocks festival moved to Göta Källare for a two-day
“Summerfest”
in Stockholm city on July 23 24, 2016.
The lineup featured:
- Joe Lynn Turner – Legendary vocalist (ex-Rainbow/Deep Purple), known for powerful melodic vocals.
- Santa Cruz – High-energy glam/sleaze rock with a modern edge, catchy riffs and strong stage attitude.
- Dynazty – Melodic metal with polished production, big choruses and a contemporary Scandinavian sound.
- Erik Grönwall – Charismatic frontman with a powerful voice, here performing an accoustic set.
- Iron Savior – Classic power metal with fast riffs, sci-fi themes and strong, driving rhythms.
- Reach – Modern rock with soulful vocals, groove-driven sound and dynamic live performances.
- Hysterica – All-female heavy metal band delivering aggressive riffs, attitude and classic metal energy.
